Here are some of the rules and bylaws we want to highlight for our new neighbors:

ATVs, snowmobiles, dirt bikes, and golf carts are not allowed on beaches or lake roads at any time.

ANY improvements to your home that would require a building permit from the town must also be approved by the LBTD. Please send questions to buildingandzoning@lakebunggee.org

LBTD Board approval is required for ANY waterfront work regardless of Town/Inland Wetland approval. Any work performed at the high-water mark must get approval from the towns Wetlands Committee and will only be permitted while the lake is drawn down. Please send questions to buildingandzoning@lakebunggee.org.

Pet dogs are not permitted in swimming areas, on beaches, at any time. All dogs must be kept caged or on leashes and all other inclusions of the Connecticut State Statutes are in effect and will be enforced.

No animals or poultry, except household pets, shall be allowed on Lake District Property.

All boats operating on the lake must be 19 feet or less in length, according to CT State registration papers or validated and certified by Lake & Beaches chair. Contact lakesandbeaches@lakebunggee.org for boat setup.

All swimmers must stay in the designated swimming areas, which shall be within 100 feet of the shore.

Jet Skis or cabin boats are not permitted on the lake.

Boat speed on the lake will be restricted to a maximum of 25 M.P.H, except in the coves and between the island and shore, where it is 6 M.P.H.   All power boats must maintain 100 feet from the shore wherever possible.  The maximum speed for all vehicles on lake roads is 15 M.P.H.

All septic systems in the Lake Bungee Tax District must be inspected and pumped every three years by a licensed septic contractor. Property owners are responsible for sending confirmation of the pumping to taxcollector@lakebunggee.org every 3 years.

We are always looking for volunteers to help with the lake. We have many sub-committees for homeowners to serve on. Please contact the board of directors via the website for more info on how to volunteer.

Congratulations on the purchase of your new property! We look forward to seeing you around the Lake!
